Summary: Good Coffee BUT NOT STRONG
Comment: I Love Yuban, but this pod only makes a decent 4 ounce cup, otherwise it is too weak, I was suprised the Senseo Extra Dark was much better and the same price ($3.99)at my local Target. I have a Melita ONE:ONE machine, you just have to squish these pods in a little, work fine.

Summary: A little bland but a pretty good value
Comment: I keep a can of Yuban in the fridge for those times when I'm out of whole beans to grind. It makes a good, reliable cup of coffee -- balanced, a little bright, and reasonably smooth. I bought these pods when I got my Black & Decker (actually Gevalia but it's just a rebranded B&D) single-cup system. The pods are large enough that they fill the filter well, and water doesn't leak around them the way it does some pods (such as Juan Valdez, which makes a smaller, more tightly-packed Melitta style pod). I find I get the best results with two pods and 12 oz of water. One pod is not quite enough for an 8 oz brew, and for some reason the extraction isn't as good for a 6 oz brew as it is for the 12 oz brew. Having said that, it doesn't taste quite as rich as the traditional drip brewed Yuban (probably because the pods have less coffee than I use in my drip machine) but overall I'm pretty happy. At $4 for 18 pods, and 2 pods per 12 oz cup, that works out to about $0.44 per cup. More than my drip but less than a coffee shop, and way easier.

Summary: Best tasting coffee yet for Senseo
Comment: First let me say that I truly enjoy drinking coffee. I prefer it black, and strong. I would say my taste has been refined after living in Europe for 6 years. I will usually grind my own and use my French press to get rich, "tastes like it smells" coffee.
I purchased the Senseo hoping to capture that European cafe coffee taste; boy was I wrong.
I was unable to drink the Douwe Egberts pods without loading it down with sugar and cream. I found them extremely bitter and generally a poor cup of coffee. Much lower in quality than a cup of plain American automatic drip coffee.
The Yuban pods actually produce a cup of good drinkable coffee. Not quit as rich as most Columbian coffees though. I would describe it as slightly better than a cup of automatic drip coffee; which is miles above the Egberts. The Yuban pods also produce tons of crema.
The pods fit just fine in the Senseo, but it's a tight fit. I think Yuban maxed out the amount of coffee you can fit into the pods. It's important to get the pods centered and the lid down tight or you'll get hot water spilling over the sides.
Bottom line: I will never purchase the Egberts pods after trying the Yuban. Yuban is far superior in producing a good tasting cup of American coffee.

Summary: yuck
Comment: I received this as a gift to go with my Senseo machine and it didn't taste like good, real coffee. All I can say is yuck.
