Summary: A smooth and robust breakfast tea
Comment: I must admit to being a bit of a tea connoisseur. I tend to like fragrant teas but I like a base of robustness to stand up to milk. I have drunk the Yorkshire Gold tea in bags at the office, and I thought I'd try this as a base for mixing with my other teas. I have to say that it is not as smooth and tasty as the Taylors of Harrogate Kwazulu, which Amazon also carries, but it certainly does the job of an above average black breakfast tea. It's also fine alone but would do best in the English style cup with milk.

Summary: Tea Choice
Comment: If you drink a lot of tea and your palate is not attuned to the more delicate nuances of flavor. This tea is for you. It is a good solid full-bodied tea with bold flavor not masked by milk and or sweeteners. Personally I use a little rum or brandy on those cold dreary mornings and this tea shines.

Summary: A Great Breakfast Tea
Comment: We were introduced to the Yorkshire Gold blend about 10 yrs. ago by a family member who lived in England for several years. Since then its been our breakfast tea of choice. And buying it in the 1 Kilo size is ideal because that usually sees us through 3-4 mos. of brewing. We've tried quite a variety of breakfast tea blends and for our taste at least Yorkshire Gold definitely brews the best "cuppa"!

Summary: My daily cup
Comment: Great breakfast tea, not as strong as some of the Twinings breakfast, but not as bitter, either. Seems to make good tea at lower water temperatures compared to other black teas, which is good for me since the hot water tap on the office water cooler is not very hot. Very economical in the large bags of loose leaf. I use a Swiss Gold infuser which does a good job on the fine cut teas like this one.

Summary: Best Morning Tea and Iced Tea!
Comment:
This is a wonderful full-bodied tea, perfect for your morning cup. I can't start my day without it. It also makes outstanding, very flavorful iced tea. (I use 7 tsp for a half gallon pitcher of iced tea.) It is finely cut, so a tea ball won't work well with it, but a good brew basket will keep even these fine leaves out of your cup. This one works beautifully in a mug or pot:

To avoid bitterness in this or any tea, bring your water to a boil first, but then remove from heat for one minute before pouring the water over the tea.
