Summary: Wow!
Comment: The photo does not do this piece justice! My jaw dropped when I first pulled it out of the box. The color is beautiful, as is the styling, it feels good in hand, and is as sturdy as Fiestaware's reputation. I haven't however, used it yet, but from years of experience with this company's pieces I'm betting on it's efficiency.

Summary: Whoever called this color cinnabar, is color blind!
Comment: My main obection with this carafe is the color. The true color of cinnabar is red not a dark, dirty plum color. Beyond being very disappointed with the color and kind of put off by the fact that the carafe is a bit smaller than I had anticipated, I find the carafe to be charming, well proportioned and from what I can tell, well made. All in all, the color is my primary objection to this piece and the reason I have given it only 3 stars.

Comment: I love the carafe and would like to know if you will receive this one in shamrock green because I am wanting to purchase 4 different colors. Please respond.

Summary: Beautiful stuff
Comment: In 1939 my mother received a set of Fiestaware as a wedding gift. Regretfully, all that is left are the round salt ant pepper shakers.
I have just bought the the 60 oz. Carafe. The simplicity of design and the quality of engineering are marvelous. It is timeless. It is far more capcious than it looks. Stable, won't tip in the fridge and doesn't drip when pouring. Now the dilemma, how to make room for more pieces. Earthquake, anyone?

Summary: Mine looked like factory seconds
Comment: I ordered two of these great Fiesta handled carafes in black. I plan to use them for serving pieces as well as for accent pieces. Black is hard to come by at the local retail outlets in my area so I had to order mine without the benefit of scrutinizing the quality of finish before purchase. I have noticed at the retail places that blemishes often show up on the pieces. I was not happy when I received my carafes and both of them had glaze skips (where the white under the glaze shows through) as well as scratches in the glaze (which I have never seen before and can't imagine what happened to put them there). In my opinion these pieces should have been culled at the factory and sold as seconds. I love the pieces, I'm just dissappointed with the quality of the finish. I also received a black covered butter which was blemish free.
